Executive Assistant
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of an established and expanding
business, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for
providing administrative support to the company’s growing
success. The successful candidate will be responsible for a
variety of tasks that include:
-
Preparing reports, correspondence, spreadsheets,
presentations and related documents;
-
Organizing and maintaining both manual and computerized
filing systems;
-
Scheduling meetings, recording and preparing minutes of
meetings;
-
Planning and confirming appointments;
-
Arranging travel schedules and making reservations for
company employees;
-
Representing the company responsibly and professionally at
all times;
-
Greeting visitors and employees with courtesy and
professionalism;
-
Maintaining the executive lounge and related activities;
-
Performing other related tasks, as needed.
Desired
qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a team player with a great attitude,
excellent communication skills and is client focused.

D.E.C. in Office Systems Technology or equivalent;
-
A minimum of 5-8 years of experience as an Executive
Assistant;
-
Possesses strong organizational skills, detail-oriented,
ability to multitask and be able respect deadlines;
-
Willing to travel within Canada and United States;
-
Must be experienced in managing the travel arrangements for
employees;
-
Must be discreet, reliable, flexible, and enjoys managing
projects;
-
Possesses strong problem-solving skills to help others and
get the job done;
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook and must be internet savvy;
-
Valid driver’s license;
-
Languages: perfectly bilingual (English and French), both
written and spoken.
Technical Writer
About the Position:
The technical writers are a valued part of the product
management team. The successful candidate will work with a
team of experienced telecom software engineers to produce
technical documentation that is delivered with the product
suite. In order to effectively deal with the technical team,
the candidate must possess superior listening and
communications skills - both oral and written.
The candidate must also demonstrate initiative and a
positive, proactive attitude, and be a disciplined,
independent worker who consistently produces excellent
results. Required skills include experience with Adobe
FrameMaker, and the ability to communicate complex ideas
clearly into easy-to-understand user documentation.
Experience in the telecommunications or software industry is
an asset.
Responsibilities:
-
Produce technical documentation in English, both text and
diagrams (e.g., user manuals, online help, software
release notes, technical bulletins, hardware
installation manuals).

Author and perform copy edits, and self-edits.
-
Meet delivery requirements in spite of scope changes and
tight deadlines.
-
Convert existing technical documentation into marketing and
training materials, application notes and technical
briefs.
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Product
Management & Marketing.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in technical communications, journalism,
English, or communications with computer science
coursework (or equivalent)
-
Advanced FrameMaker user
-
WebWorks Publisher, Doc-to-Help or Robohelp user
-
Minimum of 5 years experience in technical writing (software
documentation)
-
Strong writing skills in English
-
Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design &
Quark
-
Fluency in French
-
Familiarity with the telecommunications and cable TV
industry
Accountant/Assistant Controller
Responsibilities:
-
Up to and including the preparation of month-end financial
statements and consolidated statements
-
Monthly schedules and month-end journal entries including monthly
account reconciliations.
-
Analysis of various balance sheet and expense accounts
-
Analysis of tax accounts and the preparation of related tax
remittances.
-
Reconciliation and control over inventory balances.
- Assist in year-end budget process and prepare
year-end audit files.
Requirements:
- Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Has completed a B. Com., major in Accounting.
- Comfortable in a computerized environment (Excel,
Outlook); knowledge of Great Plains is a definite
asset.
- Bright and sharp individual with strong attention
to detail and willing to take initiative.
- Outgoing team-player with excellent communication
skills.
- Fluent (spoken and written) in English and French.
